Hello, everyone! The first thing I would like to do is welcome
you to my class. I hope to make English an enjoyable class for each of you. One thing I like to do each year is get to know everyone in each of my classes.
Let me tell you a few things about myself. I
am a happily married mother of three. My family is wonderful, and I am blessed
to have each of them. We have lived in the Dry Creek community since 2000. However, some of my family members have roots in this community that go much farther
back. We currently attend Open Door Baptist Church in Ragley, LA. Some of my favorite hobbies are fishing, reading, and gardening.
Prior to becoming a school teacher, I
served in the United States Marine Corps as an aviation electrician on F/A 18 Jets.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English education and began teaching at East Beauregard High School
in the fall of 2000. Three short years later, I received my Master’s degree
in Educational Technology. I obtained both of these degrees at McNeese State University
in Lake Charles, LA. In 2018 I obtained my Ed. S. in Educational Leadership - Principal Track from Arkansas State University.
My goals for each student who enters my room are varied.
Not only do I want them to become successful in English, but I also want them to become successful in life. I will challenge each student to do their best. I expect students
to be responsible for all of their choices and actions.
I look forward to getting to know each of you as well as having a great year.
